yes...if shafts are leaking you will see the origination at the ends of the shafts...it can drool down toward the middle of the engine and may look like cam tower to head seal issue
I had the rsr seals and two intake shafts were leaking..I removed them, cleaned and reinstalled with what I think is as much torque as I care to apply before something could break. When I inspected the shaft bores in the cam tower I notice nicks from trying to remove a shaft before I knew more that I do now....which as time goes by seems less and less.
