Ummm..Sebring?? Old news.
The Spyders are LMP2 cars...not LMP1 cars...yet they've won races since then...outright. As in beating the LMP1 cars. That shouldn't happen.
(And yes, it's obvious that the LMP1 ranks in America are not as deep as Europe.)
Congrats to Audi. Their perfomance, I have to say, is record busting in so many ways. Anywhere you looked at LeMans, it was an Audi show, from the car in front every second of the race, to the diesel hub-bub, to the Shell diesel signs at every corner, to the daily 15 page glossy color news magazine they printed daily and distributed 250,000 copies of.
Incredible acheivement, and I am sure many manufacturers who look at that realize the bar height, and make the decision whether to take part based on what Audi does.
