A very close friend lost his Oshkosh award winning Piper PA 12 Super Cruiser restoration in a straight line wind incident Weds night. All of the aircraft in his hangar are probably totaled and the many aircraft in the next hangar were also badly damaged.

He has insurance, however the 4 years he spent restoring it to show quality with his dad (who is now in a nursing home) can never be replaced. His teenage son who is starting college this fall to become a commercial pilot, had just soloed this airplane two days prior at my grass runway. This whole thing just sickens me to the core!
