I know none of you and do not intend to become part of this banter, but I can tell you One fact- If the rocker panel, paint job shown in the previous posts, is to be considered good, out the shop door, get paid quality, then there is definitely a painter who is not performing as expected and a shop manager who needs to be a little more on top of it, I have painted hundreds of panels ,some of them 3 times, a fisheye, cup scrape, a run, a bubble-- not intentional but it happens, repainted on my dime, not the customers . A painter is called upon to produce a quality product, just like any business, this is what the consumer deserves!

I have all the problems you describe in my paint.
Fisheyes, "sand scratches", lots of dust, crumb size objects, paint running, tranparency and what looks like painted over chips, I guess from the under layer of stuff.
They told me that was "normal" and if I want them removed they would "razor blade" them off and do wet sanding and charge me another $1500.00 for the trouble.
I thought that was unreasonable. I have never seen a job where there was so much contamination and prep defects before.
I'll just have to get the paint redone at a competent painter.
Thanks for your input I really appreciate it.
