Had a chance a couple of years ago to buy a set of 1911's from a retired vet. Both were close to mint and I was just too busy to worry with it. Ran into him after a bit and he had sold both of them to another guy...
He was getting old and just wanted to get rid of them. Did not know what they were worth and let them go for $500!!!
