Lucky is for some. But luck is fleeting. Being fiscally conservative will get you through the lean times.
Not being born lucky, I opted for conservative.
Works for me. I live within my means, owe nothing to anyone, and my wife and I lack for nothing in the way of necessitied, and even have something left over for a few "luxuries"!!
