NOT just for emergencies. Due to regulations, it's also become the place to obtain indigent care.
Is that wrong? I don’t know. One can argue that an untreated sore throat could lead to an epidemic. But the truth remains that near-death injuries wind up competing with the someone else’s false claim of “blood in the stool” just to confirm they have the flu.
