The blinders will never come off. Some enjoy the hate and derision too much to let it go. Some are pseudo patriots who hate reason and hide behind their strange logic, acting in false indignity when someone suggests an alternative or has an opposing idea. Left, right, both extremes are guilty of tearing the fabric of the country apart just to feed their need for recognition. They contribute nothing to the general good.

We are becoming a nation of idolators, concentrating on the individual and not the society as a whole. Cults of personality, imbuing our heroes with superhuman attributes rather than recognizing them for what they are...flawed, imperfect. In other words, human. We demonize others at the expense of society. Words instead of deeds, promises instead of action.

When will it end? As long as people prefer humiliating others and exhibiting false anger to truth and examining possible solutions to the real problems that face this country it will continue.
