Go look on ebay for Estate Pipes, used pipes that have been cleaned and sanitized. Stick with the top makers like Dunhill, Peterson, Barling, Nording or Kirsten.

You could also visit some forums like pipes.org to get started on figuring how to pack tobacco and such. Pipe smoking is like getting into Single Malts. Lots of great flavors await you and there is more to it than meets the eye.
