I like Feynman. He brought me some happiness when I read his book, "Surely You're Joking, Mr Feynman" years ago. He really is a brilliant guy.
"Those like Feynman" were the ones warning that New Orleans was an accident waiting to happen. They attempted to help the "helpless" before Katrina. They are also the ones redesigning the levee systems and other infrastructure to save lives in the future. I think that is just as important as "helping the downtrodded" in a reactive manner after "acts of god" occur.
Something like 93% of all of the scientists in the National Academy of Sciences do not believe in god. I'm sure we can denigrate them also in this thread.
