Ditto. We just covered patents in a business law class I am in, and that was the gist of the teacher's message, hire a pro. It's a long process that is anything but guaranteed, and simply having one doesn't guarantee that your idea won't get ripped off. Do you have the cash to fight Kraft in court and on appeals if they steal your product? By all means, go for it, but just be careful whom you share and market it to.
