This should get you close to using Windows Meda Player.

1.Place CD in drive, open up Window Media Player, and highlight the song/songs you want to convert.

2. Click on file, then save as. A new window will pop-up.

3. At the bottom of the new window is a box "save as type"

4. In this box, click mp3 and then click save.

I hope this helps with Winders. But my best advice is get a MacBook!!!
Nah you're fine. My windows media player only has the options of 'now playing, library, rip, burn, sync, and guide' to choose from. There is no file save as. I know what you are talking about though cause my last computer had that. If there is something I'm missing please let me know. But I think I'm stuck on that CDex program Matt told me about now....
