Pingo,

Be patient. This time of year all the automotive suppliers are above capacity. The Pelican 3-4 weeks may be even above an average. There can also be other reasons a supplier is back-ordered – - people discover their high quality is one.

If you have an immediate need, go to your local tent & awning with your 911. They can usually produce any custom thing you want within a few days. Of course the price is accordingly more. I have done that and also been pleased with mail-order.

You should appreciate the somewhat seasonal nature of things, including Porsche. Many of us who take a long range view are counter-cyclic. Your best price, service and product follow that approach. That said I have paid for the “right now” services necessary in some circumstances. Usually that is some race part discovered necessary on a Monday and can be delivered on Wednesday for a race weekend starting Saturday. Some have an even tighter timetable.

I encourage you to use perhaps less provocative language. A company like PelicanParts certainly isn’t lying. They are among the best in the industry at servicing their customer’s needs. If you have a problem, communicate with them.

Best,
Grady
