Actually, I know that these things
do happen. It doesn't surprise me or bother me that a mouse may get into an airplane.
What I find most upsetting about this story is that there were known maintenance issues that were deferred. It's called negligence.
Sure... I don't care if you defer repairing the tray-table trim that was popped off on the last flight I took. No big deal. But when there is wiring that is chewed through and could possibly cause a short and fire, then I see it as a problem that it wasn't repaired.
Dead mice in the oxygen mask..... well, now that has definate comedic patential.

(But should still have been rectified)
