Just over a year ago I was looking for a new watch. I wanted something durable with a rubber style band that combined analog and digital features but was under $250. I decided on the 5.11 Tactical HRT Titanium watch.
Love it. It looks great and has held up very well considering the abuse I have given it. I wear it all the time including when working on the car, playing hockey, and more. It's quite a bit thicker than I would like, but otherwise I have been really happy with it.
But the "good" part was a few weeks ago when the hands stopped. I changed the batteries and that didn't fix it. So I emailed them and asked if I could send it in for repair.
The customer service rep emailed me a fedex label and asked me to ship it back with just the rubber style watch band. I shipped it and the next day after it shipped she cross shipped me a brand new one, got it today.
I must say that finding companies who stand behind their products and eagerly help their customers are hard to find. So now I know of two, Pelican and 5.11 Tactical.
I know that I'll be ordering more items from them soon and highly recommend them to others.
