You want power? Want to keep your CIS? You may be able to get 20/30 hp with pistons and cam. Gears will make it jump at the expense of top end.
Real power, freshen up the innards and look into turbo-charging.
You may need a different mechanic who is familiar with turbos. You will need to improve the cooling system as well. Might cost a little more, but smiles are guaranteed.
