He pretty much sums up my thoughts about Porsches, modern and not. IMO, they do lack passion, but make up for it with dependability, functionality, and purpose. From the outside they are nothing all that exciting, until you dance past every other car on the track with half the horsepower and half the repair costs.
For me Porsches are like the go-karts you rent at the mini-golf center: no frills but perfectly suited for their environment which they dutifully perform day after day.
Unless we're talking about the 906 which is one of the most beautiful cars ever made.
