Not to hijack the thread, but a few weeks ago I got the ride of my life in a 5.9L twin-turbo that turned out an honest
6 BAR of boost and has done so for almost 60,000 miles, including dozens of hard runs at the strip. In street tune he limits boost to just under 5 bar. No NOS, but it did have water injection. I saw the dyno sheets (Mustang chassis dyno) where he made 1300 lb-ft at 2600rpm at the rear wheels. No joke.
It obviously wasn't a 'ricer' though.
