"Cheneys' Haliburton shouldn't get a 50year closed-bid contract for wading blindly through the sinkhole called the middle east. Whitewater pales by comparison."
1. Haliburton got the pork-barrel contract to supply the military campaign through a closed-bid process. There were no other competing companies considered.
2. Cheney was a former Haliburton CEO with close economic ties.
3. Bin Laden was allowed to escape at Tora Bora by leaving the back door to Pakistan virtually open, and was his expected escape route. This extended the "war on terror"(US civil liberties) and allowed many pork-barrel projects. Homeland Security is currently dumping millions into protecting ice-cream stands and farm fields(who's per chance?).
4. Iraq extended Haliburtons contract, and the poorly conducted mission of mercy has dragged out the process to years, wether intentionally or not, to the benefit of it's CEOs and shareholders. Meals(spagetti) alone have been reported to cost $28 a pop- multiplied by millions but this is just a figure I heard.
5. There has been many accounts of overcharging, not delivering supplies(i.e. humvee bakesales), and mismanaging troop pay.
This is public taxs we're talking about, with no public representation. Where's mul?
