Jeff, The problem you have with housing prices is you live in an area where demand exceeds supply. By alot. Natural market forces at work aggravated by speculators. Housing prices are adjusting downward, but may never reach the level of affordability you wish. Until we create more housing markets with perfect weather, ocean & mountains you are going to live in one of the most desirable areas of our country and have to pay for it.
Deal with it.
or move to someplace cheap.
