Most, if not all of the southern states and many in the west and midwest ahev "shall issue" conceal carry laws, whihc means that if you qualify, you must be given the permit. Some states.like Texas have a LOT of restrictions as to where you can carry, including provisios that allow businesses to decalre themselves "off limits" to firearms. Florida, Oklahoma and a couple of other states have outlawed policies by employers that permit them to fire people for having legal firearms in their cars on company property.
Of course, my stopping power is only effective against angry coke cans
