Neither of these statements is true. I challenge you to back them both up with scientific evidence. Please produce some evidence that evolution is not proven and that carbon dating is unreliable.
Evolution is accepted as fact in the scientific community. Carbon dating is also considered reliable. I’m aware that creationists often claim that carbon dating is not reliable. Are you aware that it is not the only dating technique that’s used? Here is a web site that shows 21 different dating techniques. What is really interesting is that when they use multiple dating techniques on the same object, they all agree. If carbon dating didn’t agree with the other methods, we could call it unreliable, but that is not the case.
Open your mind a little bit. Can’t you see that evolution and the bible are not contradictory? Can’t you see that many of the stories in the bible are not meant to be taken literally, like Genesis, the ark, the apple tree in the Garden of Eden, etc? Can’t you see that they are just metaphors, a way of telling a story, of getting a message across? What makes you think the bible is to be taken 100% literally? Can’t you see that not taking these stories literally is not “religion bashing” or diminishes your faith in any way? In fact, you could consider the bible to be 100% metaphor, even including the resurrection, and it still would not take any meaning away nor diminish your faith.
