Intermittant charging problem
Hi. I just acquired an 87 951 that has a small problem.
It does'nt charge consistantly. (usually not). I have seen the Voltmeter needle occasionally sit at the correct place (just below 14v) but mostly it sits just above 12, and today it began to start hard, finally not starting at all, requiring a jump.
The battery is now totally dead (sitting on the charger now)
Anyway, what is the most likely problem? All bad alternator? bad VR? ground?
