Statistically, is having a traditional family (married parents biological children family unit) a positive or negative indicator for academic achievement, teen pregnancy, drug/alcohol abuse, sense of well-being? Should society encourage or discourage this family structure?
Nostatic, your argument seems to be that parents do such a bad job parenting that the gov't. needs to step in and help. Should this extend to censoring tv content? Maybe the stereotyopes embraced by the products of bad parenting come from what is presented to them (unfiltered by parental wisdom) on television. If the gov't. is going to assume the responsibility of parenting, then it needs to address censoring entertainment content (in regards to its moral impact on children viewers), something that has been relegated to parents.
