I forgot... replace all head studs with steels, trans oil, 4 changes of engine oil, filters, all sorts of special goop for gaskets/etc., JB weld, a few special tools, flywheel bolts, a new large tool chest...because I was tired of working out of a pile of tools, boxes, rags, zip lock bags, endless paper towels, bags of special hardware for engine tin, front engine seal, rear engine seal, made custom spacers for cam sprocket arms, end less hours of cleaning parts and threads
you see all of this stuff adds up and the mechanic has to buy much of the same stuff... so that's why when you get a complete high quality job it costs a lot of money... remember the mechanic has to add for profit and allowance for come backs otherwise he will not stay in business
