I don't think this is true. For me, I think the 944 platform is one of the more balanced and easy to drive fast cars out there. Even though I could afford to "upgrade" to a 911 or Boxter I choose not to because I think the car suits me very well. If there ever comes a time for more HP, then I will just do a Chevy V-8 swap. Oh wait... That's already happening
