FYI....there is no better Porsche...IMO. Obviously a man lacking intelligence or doesn't understand our passion to come to this forum and say there are "better" cars. You probably should have read a little more before making such a foolish statement.
Not really sure where you are getting your data. I think there are a lot of us that can afford very nice cars. The 944 just happens to be the car that excites me the most. I have many friends that drive M3s, 911's and Corvettes but I still like the 944 over the 911 and although I like the Corvette and M3 a lot, I still prefer the look and feel of the 944....it just fits. I've always enjoyed the looks of the 57 Chevy, 69 Camaro Z28, and the Porsche 944....and not in any particular order. Although I can afford a different model I CHOOSE to stay with this one. My Ford truck alone was almost as much as a Boxster and I have two of them....gotta pull those race car and horse trailers around and the Boxster just would not do that...does that mean the Ford trucks are "better"? No, just different. I have nothing against any other car made including other Porsche models, they are just not the cars for me.
Good luck on your restore.
