Im looking at buying a used Boxter for the wife to drive to work and school. Work is a 14 mile round trip and she takes night classes 2 days a week that is 30 mile round trip.

In bad weather she wouldn't have to drive but she could get caught out in it. How is the boxter in light snow? How reliable are the Boxters, Im looking at 2000 to 2002 models.

Im looking to spend around 20k. It looks like I can get a decent car for that but its going to have some miles on it. Except for adjusting for price, is a higher mileage car something I should avoid?

I looked at a 2000 with 90K asking $16,000, around here it seams like 2000 to 2002 cars with 50K miles are in the low 20's. Should I pay the premium for a lower mile car or save the cash for future repairs.

Anything else to look at?
