Help, heater just blows HOT air!!! IDEAS?
Sunday on the way to my favorite twisty road my AC stopped blowing ice cubes and started blowing the hottest air known to man. The compressor does activate and the enigne acts under load when the relay clicks on and off. Even with the fan control on "0" the fan still blows, more so at speed. On cold start up the air is same as atmosphere, but as the car warms up so does the air. I would assume this is much like when a radiator stat freeze or get stuck open. Is there a vaccum controled valve that may or not be dead also? Does anyone know if there is another thermostat that may have failed in the open condition so as to use my heater core as a radiator? Is there a temp fix so to not have to drive the car with the windows down every where I go, I have the funds to get it fixed, just asking to get an idea. thanks
