Hogwash. My wife's a software engineer and makes more then I do. (I resemble that "kept man" comment myself!
) We have two wonderful children, a happy marrage (narry a cross word in 13 years next month!). I agree, the extra income is nice. But at the end of the day, the quality of the marrage depends on the participants, and what they chose to put into it (as opposed to take out of it). If they chose each day to put more in then they take out, it will be a good marrage. If they chose to take out more then they put in, it will fail.
It's not rocket science you know!
