Thats pretty funny(not really though) ..... The exact same thing happened to me a few month back.
I was looking around in a old run down ware house where the owner of a wrecking yard was storing his cars and porsche parts until he sells everything off.
I went there looking for porsche parts but ended up spoting a 67 911 soft window targa that needed a full restoration. I ask him how much he say's 12G's... That seemed way too much. I then spot a old 1969 190SL Benz, its a pretty cool car... I ask him how much..... He says 25... I say $2500..... he says yes. I keep my cool and calmly tell him I would like to buy it.
Long story short ....2 weeks later and a bunch of phone calls talking about tow truck , flat beds ect... I ask him for a total incl a few parts I spoted he tells me 26.
Cool $2600. He laugh's.... NO WAY MAN $26,000. I'm like your f'ing nuts dude
