Not to worry Moy, I could go on and on...........but he only ask about the pistons and rods. I am with you that once you start these type of projects there is no finishing. I've written so much about engine building over the years but now seldom go into it anymore. The article I wrote on building a "Hot Rod Twin" is on web sites all over the world and I still get questions about it. That was then.....this is now. Its better for me to just buy a new bike and ride it. Like I said.......one can work their heart out on a R11S......but it still will not even approach a R12S in real world or track conditions. Still, I'm glad you and I and others can offer the young ones advice when they need it and thats just one reason this is such a good forum.
