This has been discussed many times on this forum. In the market, the level of risk a buyer assumes is directly proportional to the discount she will demand. If your car is not running properly after you performed a tune-up, adjusted the valves, and had the "engine checked," then what's the problem? There exists substantial risk.

Clutches wear out. I view that expense as one that you could pass on to the buyer at almost full value. From the buyer's perspective, there is substantial risk involved in buying a car known to be expensive to fix and immediately turning it over to a technician for a two thousand dollar repair that requires removing the drivetrain. It's not as bad as it sounds, of course, to long-time owners, but to a first-time 911 buyer, that is risky. What else will be discovered?

As for the radio, you're right, of course. It's easy to replace for that stock look. But that's not my point. Again, it's about risk. What am I going to find when I pull out the aftermarket radio some kid down at Circuit City installed? Stock appearance adds value for that reason--less risk.

Good luck with the sale. Include lots of pictures of stuff that you probably think is pointless like door jambs, and undercarriage, and fuse panel, and owners manual, engine compartment, spare tire, etc. And if you have service history paperwork, that will help mitigate the mileage issue, so mention it.
