Consumer reports has a lot of good info on extended coverage and susceptibility to electrical spike damage. I use the standard protectors available at Best Buy and a number of other outlets.
As for putting it in to the wall. Check the heat generation and whether some kind of cooling fan might be required.
Must be a relatively new model. Largest LCD set listed in the March CR is 37 inches.
