Thanks for your replys. At this point, I believe the extent of my work will be to balance everything and polish the piston crowns and combustion chambers of the heads. I'll lighten the conrods just a bit as a fuzz and grind of all the casting marks. After I am done balancing, etc, all rotating and reciprocating parts will go to a machine shop for final balancing.

I do read your articles in the BMWMOA rag so it is very nice to have a response from you. I will try to find you post on "hot rod twins". I'll also post the weights I come up with pre and post balancing.
