John, with all due respect this is simply not the case anymore. If all you want is email to the phone, go get any number of cheap devices that can run a POP3 client, like SodaPOP. And even if you have a Blackberry Enterprise Server, Good Link and MS’s ActiveSync do everything the BB does and probably does it better better.
Get a more complete device and experience. Get a Smartphone or a Pocket PC.
