Actually this is quite familiar to our own recent elections, except Mexico has a way of confirming a recount.

Many, if not most, of our electronic ballot machines have no paper trails for voting confirmation(by design), use old and easily breakable encription(by design), have an easy master-key card access to the results(by design), the polling rules allow workers to store them unsupervised overnight(by design), etc, etc....

Thank Diebold ballot manufacturing, the other major three, a chain of broken governmental checks-and-balances.
....oh yeah, and (mostly) republican supporters of the new-age version of "democracy".

Mexico is where we used to be, but it's so much easier now for fraudulent voting with the new advances in technology.
Ain't progress grand World leaders by example all the way.
