No TV station transmits on 1080p, 1080i is the max.
For now the only advantage of 1080p will be for Hi-Def/Blue Ray DVD's
Having said that, my 72" Panasonic DLP, my 110" DLP projector and my 42" Dell plasma are 1080p (just in case)
