I got glasses at 15. I had no idea that I couldn't see. Everything seemed smaller and further away with glasses, but clearer. (You would have had to be within 10 feet for me to recognize you....and it would have been by the shape of your blurry head, not your face.) Thankfully, I had all summer to adjust. When I went back to school, I could actually read the chalk board (instead of guessing at the faint scribblings...which I could only see if I was in the front row.)
I'm -3.50 in both eyes. My prescription has not changed at all in 13 years. I'm looking forward to Lasik next year!
