I've been wearing glasses for 5 years and I experienced the asame thing you are. I only wore the glasses once in a while at first, then it gradually got to be a full time thing.
My glasses broke last week right in the middle. I went to sav-on and found a pair of reading glasses with almost the exact subscription for $12.
They are actually more comfortable and less intrusive than the $200 glasses that broke.
