Lasik is not worth it at anything less than about -3.00. I started wearing glasses at around 14 years of age, longsighted with astigmatism. At age 36 or so I got Lasik'ed with excellent results. Now, at age 46 I am wearing contacts for office work - mostly staring at documents & computer screen. For normal outdoors type viewing I don't need the contacts.

Back on topic - getting your first glasses at age 30 is a big adjustment. I remember the sensation of high-stepping - everything including the ground seemed further away and warped. Just keep at it, your brain is an amazing adaptive organ and it will filter out all the optical illusions (non drug-induced). This is assuming your prescription is correct. If the dizzyness etc persists for more than a week or 2, go back to the opto.
