the only way to get it to "match" is to fade it into the next panel. I just had a fender redone and you can notice it but only because the clearcoat is brandnew. I hope that once I wax the rest of the car it will be much less noticeable. The door and the fender match perfectly, both were cleared but only the fender was painted, he did the fade in the door.

If you are doing the lower front lip I would spray it myself but if its on the side or top of the car where it will be very noticable I would have it proffesionally done.
