Thanks for the clarification. I sort of assumed that it was a replica or re-creation of some type, but I am really not familiar with them.

I am sorry to hear about his passing, and as to the "died while doing what he loved", I would simply say that if one spends their life driving cars as fast as the laws of physics allows, there is a very real chance of dying while doing it. I'm sure that he understood this. Sad, still.
