over labor day in mogollon(pronounced-mo-go-yonn) new mexico(the spirit world), black bear tore into repeater wires at base of tower. tore hell out of it. how we know g/friends father is on fire dept and radios went on the fritz.
first day riding quads, saw baby bear and then another baby bear and then MOMMY BEAR! running out of berry patches. this gets better..................! next morning at 5am get up make coffee, walk outside. to my horror, not 15 feet away from where i slept in airstream trailer is BIG GIANT HURKY BEAR TURD! i mean BIG!
well needless to say from seeing mommy bear and baby bears, going berry picking was done under the watchful eye of a marlin 30/30 and a .45.
that night while up on hillside at g/friends folks house, we spy about a 400# daddy bear cruising on opposite hillside.
moral to story.................the BEARS KNOW WHERE THE BEST BERRY PATCHES ARE! DONT SCREW WITH BEARS!
