I personally wouldn't take a 2,7 magnesiun case and take it to 3.2/3.6L. My experience is that although case savers will solve your head stud issue any number of perimeter studs may pull if not inserted, Especially the stud between the crank and intermediate shaft. If your engine once had thermal reactors I would be very careful with it. The material tends to become very brittle with age. You'll certainly need to get the case checked for straightness. I am in the process of rebuilding a 2.7. I assembled the case 3 times due to the perimeter studs pulling.
