Google is great, obviously, for getting information on any topic.
It is not so great for personal privacy, since all too often personal information gets posted there under your name--and you wonder who gave them permission to do that.
What I don't like is the so-called white pages--where your name and address, and sometimes phone number are frequently posted. There are a half dozen of these sites. You can get your name removed on most of them by on-line request--which is a good idea, since this is the way a lot of credit cards are stolen on-line. Anyone with access to your credit card number and name can misuse your credit card without actually having it if they get your address and phone number from the white pages.
My advice is to check the white page sites, and remove your address if it's posted.
Another warning: don't use your credit card on an unsecured website (lock on it at the bottom.)
