I'm not familar with Lexus, is the "Platinum edition" just a trim level or some sort of limited production run?
Under 25K miles on a 2000 model-year would probably indicate a car that has been driven by a little old lady just to the grocery store and church on Sunday. Those short trips were bad for the motor.
You'd probably do better finding one with more "normal" mileage. Here are a few to consider:
