I have a V-8, and a 930 transmission. I have spent a lot of time to get the package quiet and softer riding. The car is fun to drive and has loads of power, far more than I need. You can ask the few Carrera S owners just how quick it is to 100 mph. My point is the engine C/G is too high for it to handle like a regular 914. That is why Porsche used a "Flat" configuration. I am sure most of your garages would house a different car if money weren't an issue. I would love a Carrera S for sure but.... My dream is to own a nice sports car I only have to wash and wax, so well built that it needs no improvement.. some day
