I like Renegade

for what they do for the 914 which was never a true POrsche, but a 911? (I lived in Germany when the little car was introed as the fahw veh/ Porsceh or VW / Porsche. I don't get it when you can get a 3.2 for a few grand. If you were honest about what this conversion realy cost, you would have been far better off financially wiht a P car engine. Renegade says $20k to do it RIGHT. Harley attempted to patent the sound of their exhaust tone, which failed but that is part of the Pcar mystique. The sound of a flat six and its performance characteristics. OTOH, if some kid were to rescue a rust bucket tub from the wreckers that had no motor or tranny and bring the lines of the pOrsche back on the road then my hats off to him. I go to Hot AUgust Nights in Reno. I like a good hotrod, althoiugh that hobby has been taken over by the rich guys too. ANd the HAN attenedees give my 74 911 with flares etc a big thumbs up.

BTW is my Tauchmeister German made perpetual motion dive watch considered a fake Rolex cause guys with Oysters have commented that they have never seen a Rolex quite like it. www.tachmeister.com $195.
Damned I have to get rid of it now that people think it is a wannabee.
