To der Zumwoll
It is not the initial build cost but the upkeep/update costs that caused me to build the V8 Porsche. As I mentioned - I have had two 930s and countless 911s. Also had nitro dragsters and a sprint car. All nice and fun to drive. But, How much $ does it take to build 500 HP flat 6 HP compared to a dry sump small block? And it you happen to break a rod or throw the crank on the ground with a 930 how much does it cost to glue back together compared to V8? Any Porsche elitist clap-trap about newer style water cooled vs air cooled Porsche? Any worries about flat 4 vs flat 6 Porsche engines? The (my) goal is to go fast (quickly), stop fast (quickly), corner, and all else that a 911/930 does. I just don't think it too smart to fork over maintenance/repair $ to old "Hans at Porscha-Werks". I have found a more economical way to do it. I don't wear a watch, have a bubble tent to keep my hot rod in, want perforated calf skin driving gloves or have a goofy bra to keep my car protected from the dastardly perils of hard driving. Here is a web site that shows more: http://v8porsche.blogspot.com/
